Write about your dream home.

~I’m currently single and taking that into consideration, my “dream home” in this scenario is for a single me. My dream home with a significant other, with or without children, would be completely different.~
My dream home is peaceful. It has room for me, all my things and my ever evolving interests. My bedroom would be just a bedroom—a room for just my bed. It’s not a shared office space, it’s not a place to workout, and it isn’t for the storage of old and new things.
My current bedroom is all of those things plus it’s my personal hair salon but it doesn’t have a television. And I love that about it. I grew up having a TV in my bedroom. Idk if that was the 1990s equivalent of being an iPad kid? It probably isn’t because TVs are still in use today. And television in the 90’s weren’t 24/7 of free public access like they are now. TV stations went offline (had no broadcast/nothing to air just black-and-white “snow”) after a certain hour in the overnight.
When I first moved out for the first time, I lived in an unfinished space, I didn’t have a TV. I did purchase a television but I didn’t like its sound quality and returned it because I didn’t think a good product required having to purchase a sound bar. I also was in college and knowing the local news happenings in Reno, Nevada wasn’t of interest to me. If it wasn’t safe, let me be delusional!
The two others places I lived on my own were in Las Vegas and were furnished and had TVs. I used them more so for background noise and to entertain my mom and sister when they visited. I did buy a television prior to moving to Las Vegas but it was too big to transport in a car; just getting it home was a challenge—it barely fit in my mom’s old Lincoln. It’s currently our living room TV.
I enjoy not having that convenience. Watching live TV requires effort, I have to go downstairs to the living room but […]

I couldn’t go on-and-on and go off topic. I think now I could answer the writing prompt question, “The most important invention in your lifetime is…”. Two things now come to mind.
~But getting back on topic:
My dream home has space, separation, and no carpet! The closet doors in the bedroom are mirrored and overall there’s good natural lighting throughout. It’s preferably in Miami, back in Nevada, or somewhere else warm and affordable.
I haven’t been exposed to a lot to have a favorite aesthetic style. But I do know luxury is subjective and is a misused term. Luxury to one person could be the bare ass minimum to someone else! To me, a new and modern dwelling isn’t a luxury in itself. Essentially, if the outside area is unkept and people in close proximity are suffering or if have said luxury requires you to overextend yourself or be house poor. If any of that is the case, that’s a unfortunate trade off and is nothing worth being price gouged, or pressured, into having for the sake of being housed or feeling the need to live up to manmade standards.
