What’s one habit that has improved your life the most?
Not falling victim to lifestyle creep 🙂↕️✨
Last December, I switched jobs for a pay bump and despite that, I still drive the same car I’ve had since 2017 and I renewed my lease in May instead of moving someplace nicer.

POV: Me and my 2015 Toyota—us until the wheels fall off or until the universe gifts me with a paid in full Toyota or Rivian 🧘🏽♀️🔮🙂↕️✨
In my last role, I was an HR Manager and I knew everyone’s pay. I was shocked, but not surprised, that people who made less than me had newer or larger vehicles and ordered DoorDash everyday while balancing babies and bills. No hate, but I knew they were struggling with maintaining their vehicles and keeping said vehicles.
Although not overtly religious, I thank sweet baby Jesus that I’ve never felt the pressure to keep up with the Jones and the Kar-Jenners, nor felt pressured to “live life elevated”—as an ex called his life of excess and the debt that came with it when I asked him why he had so much expensive stuff!
Not feeling the pressure to succumb to the capitalistic ideology of the “American dream” has allotted me real freedom. I am free to relocate, switch jobs, take breaks from working, be picky, be leisurely, and live life my way. It’s a life and a feeling that I think everyone should aspire towards.

She’s back baby and she’s blogging again 👩🏽💻🙂↕️✨
