Li. Lo. aka a beautiful example of resilience

Do you think we’re shaped more by our experiences or by who we are?

she’s an icon. she’s a legend, and she is the moment.

What Millennial didn’t love THE Lindsey Lohan! She was a force to be reckoned with! Her highs and her lows were well documented in the 2000s and 2010s by the paparazzi and heavily criticized by the media but look at her now! She’s forty and fine, a wife, mother, and a survivor of her worst moments.

For me, she a great example of being shaped by her experiences but coming back to the essence of who she is as a person. Like most people tend to do for sympathy or as an excuse to remain the same, Lindsey Lohan didn’t let her experiences derail her entire life nor did she choose to play the “woe is me” perpetual victim. She instead remembered who TF she was, moved forward, and she’s even more iconic!

As a fan in a past life, it’s great to see because so many of our childhood and pre/tween favorites are either gone physically or mentality. And young woman in her late-30s, she’s a great reminder of the power we hold because if there is a will, there is a way!

I was so happy to stumble upon her 40th birthday post on Threads. Peek nostalgia indeed!
